Meet the owner & operators of our small family owned businessOur names are Chelsey Bush & Cody Bush
Their journey began in 2009 as high school sweethearts, when Cody and Chelsey crossed paths while working at Skate America, a skating rink in Grove City, Ohio. From there, their path led them to managerial roles and a relocation to Family Fun Zone, a skating rink in Joliet, Illinois. Over the years, they worked side by side, taking on multiple jobs simultaneously.
Chelsey's love for horses sparked at a very young age. At the age of 11 , she started working at a boarding facility, diligently cleaning stalls and feeding the horses to save money for her own. At 13, she welcomed Trigger, an 11-month-old colt, as her first horse. Chelsey took on the responsibility of caring for Trigger, fully funding his needs without any help. Growing together, Chelsey and Trigger formed a deep bond and learned valuable lessons from one another.
Cody soon joined their equine-filled journey, and Trigger became a familiar sight on the streets of Grove City. Together, they turned heads as they rode through neighborhoods, drive-thrus, stores, and places where one wouldn't typically encounter a horse. The curiosity and invitations from intrigued onlookers led them to provide rides and visit homes to give children the joy of a horseback experience.
Additionally, Cody is passionate about vintage tractors! He often searches for vintage tractor parts and accessories and brings these old tractors back to life. After seeing families visit the farm and enjoy letting their kids climb on them and take pictures with the tractors, we decided to provide tractor photo opportunities and tractor birthday parties to let others enjoy our vintage tractor collection too!
As they experiences many happy guests at countless birthday parties in the skating rinks, something remarkable happened. They began to notice each others exceptional work ethic and how they were both absolute pros when it came to working with kids. It just clicked. Chelsey's keen eye for detail and Cody's background as a skating instructor and all-around fantastic birthday party host were the perfect ingredients for an epic fusion. They knew they had to combine their passions and create something extraordinary—a place where learning, horses, and celebrations came together in a whirlwind of fun and excitement. And so, their vision of a captivating learning environment filled with laughter and joy was brought to life.
In 2014, with the arrival of their first daughter, Chloey, their cherished hobby evolved into a thriving business. Expanding their equine family over time, they started offering pony parties, parades, and lessons as a hobby. Driven by their goal to share their passion with diverse audiences, they ventured into neighborhoods where equine accessibility was limited. Providing children and parents with the opportunity to observe, learn, interact, and even ride horses proved transformative for many who had never encountered these magnificent animals before. The power of word-of-mouth propelled their popularity, gathering an enthusiastic community of supporters and fans.
In 2016, the arrival of their twins, Carley and Carter, coincided with Chloey's second birthday, creating an extraordinary shared birthdate for all three siblings. Growing alongside their business, the kids became invaluable helpers, learning the values of work ethic and responsibility from a young age. Spotting them at events and parties is not uncommon, as they love lending a hand whenever possible.
With the addition of more horses, their offerings expanded further. They established a leased barn in Galloway, Ohio, where they offered pony rides to the public while delivering educational experiences to riders. Positive word-of-mouth quickly solidified their presence within the community. Their petting zoo, initially featuring various animals, has since grown into a collection of over 100 animals, including an impressive array of 13 different types of farm animals. Expanding beyond the barn, they brought educational fun to nursing homes, schools, daycares, parties, and events. From the very beginning, they made it a priority to serve individuals with disabilities, embodying their commitment to giving back and paying it forward. Special occasions, such as visits from Unicorns, the Easter Bunny, Santa, and the Grinch, added an extra touch of magic to their holiday events.
In 2018, Horse-N-Round Fun LLC officially became a business. Their growth continued as they introduced horseback trail riding, carriage rides, horse-drawn sledding, sleigh rides, weddings, a horse bounce house, train rides, hay wagon rides, day camps, school field trips, homeschool educational opportunities, and more. Proudly serving all of Ohio, they operated as a mobile pony party and farm animal petting zoo entertainment service.
The summer of 2022 marked a significant milestone as they finally acquired their new farm. Bursting with excitement, they viewed this moment as the catalyst for their anticipated expansion, allowing them to give back, pay it forward, and make learning enjoyable while reaching even more people and communities.
Amidst their busy lives, Cody and Chelsey wear multiple hats, seamlessly handling all aspects of their business. From caring for their beloved horses and animals to answering calls, managing schedules on the fly, and actively participating in parties, trail rides, and events, they effortlessly balance these responsibilities while being rockstar parents. There are no days off in this business, but their passion drives them forward, and they cherish every opportunity to share their love for horses and animals with others. Their horses and animals are considered family, and while they are not officially a rescue or sanctuary, they welcome and care for many rescues, blind animals, special needs horses and animals, and those requiring extra attention. They ensure that their horses and animals spend most of their lives freely, enjoying the outdoors and engaging in play and relaxation. Hay is readily available to them at all times, whether in the barn, pastures, trailers, or petting zoo pens, as their well-being and happiness remain top priorities.
The journey of Cody, Chelsey, Chloey, Carter and Carley, and their ever-growing family of horses and animals continues with boundless excitement, unwavering dedication, and a commitment to sharing their passion with you.
